New Billing Policy: Professional Software License for LiyuBus & Digital Terminal System Users
Effective Date: June 5, 2025
Applies To: All users of the LiyuBus Bus platform and Digital Terminal System, including vehicle operators, terminal digtal agents, and affiliated transport service providers.
This billing policy serves as an official digital notice under the provisions of:
Article 5 of Ethiopia’s Electronic Transactions Proclamation No. 1205/2020, which recognizes the legal validity of digital contracts, notices, and communications.
Article 1675–1681 of the Ethiopian Civil Code, governing obligations arising from contracts and service provisions.
Digital licensing compliance in accordance with the Data Message and Electronic Records standard established by the Ethiopian Information Network Security Administration (INSA).
1. License Activation Requirement
Our software is used by transport companies, terminal operators, and agents across Ethiopia.
To ensure continued access to the professional features, all users must activate a valid license by making the required monthly payment.
Unpaid or unlicensed use beyond the allowed period is strictly prohibited.
2. Monthly Billing Cycle & Grace Period
- Payment for the license must be made on or before the end of each calendar month.
- A 5-day grace period will be granted after month-end for pending payments.
- During this period, a visible license warning and countdown will be shown in the system.
- Users may continue using the software with limited features and warnings.
3. Deactivation Policy
- If payment is not received within the grace period (month-end + 5 days), the software will be automatically deactivated.
- This includes blocking access to ticketing, dispatching, and reporting features.
- Re-activation will require payment and possible administrative approval.
4. User Notifications
- A daily notice will be displayed during the grace period.
- A final warning will appear 1 day before license termination.
- Notifications will be shown through the software footer and/or pop-up messages.
5. Support & Activation
- Payments and license activation can be completed via the LiyuBus admin dashboard or through our finance team.
- For large operators, custom enterprise packages and multi-terminal licenses are available upon request.
- Contact support to upgrade, renew, or resolve billing issues.
6. Non-Compliance
Failure to activate the license within the required timeline will lead to:
- Immediate termination of access to the system
- Possible cancellation of your account or partnership
- Legal or financial consequences for unauthorized continued use
